最高级的用法：最高级代表一种极致。

1、the＋最高级

例子：

①February is the shortest of all the months.

二月是所有月份中最短的。

all the months所有月份

②Mary is the most talkative of the four girls.

Mary是四个女孩中最健谈的。

talkative(a.)健谈的；多话的

ive是形容词词尾

③The Spring Festival is the most important holidays for the Chinese people.

春节对中国人来说是最重要的节日。

在这里holiday加不加s都可以。

2、同一人或物，表现某特质、程度的极致，最高级前不加the。

例子：

注意比较①跟②③④这三个句子的差别

①The lake is the deepest in the country.

这个湖是这个国家最深的。

③She was happiest when she was with her husband.

她和她丈夫在一起时最开心。

④It is hottest at about one o'clock in the afternoon in summer.

3、the＋序数＋最高级

例子：
